RECRUITMENT INFORMATION
Kappa Class, Fall 2016 Induction
Top Reasons to Join Phi Sigma Rho
-
Support: Your sisters understand any and all of the struggles that come along with being a female engineer. You'll always have a shoulder to lean on and a sister to get advice from.
-
Service: Being a part of Phi Sigma Rho means putting time and effort into helping others. We do all kinds of service from planting gardens, volunteering at elderly care homes, participating in Relay for Life, and helping with Introduce a Girl to Engineering Days.
-
Encouragement: Nothing says encouraging your sisters like staying up all hours in the night in the Engineering Building to get your project done. Your sisters understand the heavy course load and will be there to help you through all of the long nights and early mornings!
-
Scholarship: We know that you clearly came to MSU to earn a degree and we are here to help with that. Often your sisters will act as your tutors, your advisors, or your mentors through difficult classes.
-
Connections: Expanding your connections is never a bad idea and what better way to get connected with engineers in the field than through recent alumna who are always more than willing to help you prepare for a career fair, find a job, or set up your LinkedIn profile.
-
Fun: We are a social soroity for a reason. We understand that engineering is hard and we want to add some stress relief and fun along the way. We do a lot of sisterhood events like pottery, going to the movies, bowling, archery, ice skating, craft nights, going to the zoo-almost anything you can think of.
-
Inspiration: Consistently being around your sisters who are working their hardest to get good grades, receiving awards for their achievements, starting new engineering clubs, studying abroad to bring technologies to third world countries, and finding phenomenal internships and full time jobs is nothing short of inspiring.
-
Friendship: People don't lie when they say that your sorority sisters will be some of your best riends. Phi Rho offers a group where women can grow together and create bonds that will last a life time.
